QA Lead – CLOSED

Timisoara

For one of the most interesting IT company in Timisoara, we are currently looking for a QA Lead into their Timisoara office.

 

Main Role and Responsibilities:

  1. SW code and documentation quality:
    • Act as key point of contact for all QA aspects of SW releases (e.g. coding style, documentation quality)
    • Gather information with regard to SW and documentation quality from internal and external teams
    • Responsible for enforcement of coding style and quality
    • Responsible for the quality assurance of complex software solution projects and assure they meet specified client requirements
  2. Fault coverage and test strategies:
    • Analyze fault coverage, review test plans and procedures (manual and automated) and advise on the course of actions to continuously improve on them
    • Develop test strategy and test plan documents in conjunction with the internal and external teams when required
    • Monitor test results, achieved fault coverage and test process.
  3. Lean processes:
    • Propose and supervise implementation of lean processes in order to improve overall SW code & documentation quality, re-use, SW process automation and productivity
    • Oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new processes to ensure SW code & documentation quality goals are met
    • Proactively drive and implement ongoing process improvement initiatives across departments
  4. Planning and resource allocation:
    • Work together with the SW operations team to plan for time and resources allocation in order to meet the SW release dates and milestones
    • Assure that (where appropriate) software testing conducted by a third party follows good testing practice and established internal QA methodology
    • Where necessary, lead and mentor test team members.

 

Desired skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar
  • At least 5 years of relevant QA/engineering experience
  • Experience of working in a customer facing environment
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Assurance methodologies
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent conflict management skills
  • Good understanding of basics of programming and relevant computing platforms
