Functional Safety Engineer for Automotive with Hardware/Software Background CLOSED

Your Responsibilities:
• Drive and lead technical discussions for functional safety related activities;
• Collaborate with the engineers working at system, hardware and software development level;
• Perform safety management activities according to relevant standards during all project phases (concept releases, system releases, system sign off and production) including failure analysis, DFMEA, FMEDA, qualitative and quantitative fault tree analysis;
• Develop safety architectures and safety plans to ensure compliance with ISO26262 and
client’s standard process;
• Lead and coordinate creation of functional safety documentation according client’s process;
• Conduct reviews with product teams to ensure functional safety standards are being met throughout product development cycles;
• Get in contact with the customers and suppliers to discuss (align) safety activities;
• Moderate safety work products with international teams.

Your Competence/Skills
• Knowledge of Functional Safety Theory, with specific on-the-job experience;
• Experience with Products Development Life Cycle (V-Modell process);
• Bachelor Degree/Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related technical discipline;
• Automotive industry know-how;
• Experience in one of the following domains: system engineering, software engineering, hardware development, testlab;
• Ideally, you have knowledge in power semiconductor switches and automotive interfaces;
• Analytical skills in customer requirements, risk analysis and process improvement;
• Good technical leadership, planning and organization/control skills;
• Team player attitude who likes to work in a multicultural team;
• Language skills in English. German would be a plus.
