Regional Logistic Manager – CLOSED

On behalf of our client, one of the leading tier automotive suppliers located in Timis county (40 km from Timisoara), we are looking for a Regional Logistic Manager
The Regional Logistic Manager will face the following challenges:
- Coordinates logistics processes for the operations in Romania
- Coordinates functionally the Plant Logistics Managers for our client in Romania -3 locations, 3rd Party Warehouse Coordinator and subcontracted locations activities.
- Manages complexity in a growing environment, including launches of new innovative products.
- Drive lean and continuous improvement to achieve competitive results through cost reduction and on-time delivery.
- He/ She will report directly to the Managing Director for Romania and functionally to the Logistics EMEA Manager.
- He/ She will have several direct reports and will be immediate superior of Site Logistic Managers, 3rd Party Warehouse Coordinator, Scheduling SME, Customs/Logistics Supervisor, and Assistant to Country PC&L Operations Manager.
Responsibilities
The Logistic Manager will have the following responsibilities:
- Plan, conduct or coordinate warehousing, distribution, forecasting, customer service and planning services
- Manage logistics processes, logistics systems and strategies
- Monitor specific supply chain-based performance measurement systems
- Maintain metrics, reports, process documentation, customer service logs and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
- Drive the development and execution of a robust logistics strategy to support the growth of the business
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of our customer’s expectations and an understanding of local business needs and conditions
- Strong Support of Lean Principles (Right Part, Right Time, Right Quantity; Short Lead Time; Build in Quality; Capacity Utilization; Resource Utilization)
- Ensure Lean Operating Systems implementation (Lean Scheduling, Lean Ordering, Manufacturing Connections)
- Review financial statements, activity reports and other performance data to measure goal achievement in the area of responsibility
- Assure continuity of cost reduction in all processes
- Encourage excellence culture and act as a role model
- Promote the understanding and implementation of the Enterprise Operating System (EOS).
- Looks for continuous improvement opportunities and generates suggestions.
- Develops and/or sponsors innovative approaches and ideas

The Profile
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.)
- 5 years specific experience in a Logistics/ Supply Chain Manager role
- Knowledge of Supply Chain Processes including inventory management
- Wide exposure to ERP systems; SAP Knowledge
- Global logistics experience gained from multinational companies; preferably in the wiring harness or larger automotive industries
- Advanced logistics experience within a multi-country environment, including hands-on experience in managing logistics processes
- Successful track record of managing logistics for new product launches
- Six Sigma certification preferred
- Strong leadership experience
- A background in standardizing processes and implementing common approaches
- Ability to coordinate large teams and bring people together
- Fluent English skills (written and verbal), German skills – advantage
