Deputy Accounting Manager – Closed

Timisoara

We are looking for a Deputy Accounting Manager on behalf of our client (international transport company with 900 employees) located in Timisoara.

Job responsibilities:
– Checks entry and exit operations;
– Checks bank and petty cash operations;
– Checks daily allowance for company’s staff using dedicated software;
– Follows the depreciation process for the company’s assets;
– Checks and closes monthly trial balance;
– Updates accounting account plan;
– Ensures the correct application of the legislation in force regarding the procedures and
policies of the company;
– Revises and corrects where applicable errors in financial data, documents and reports;
– Keeps in touch with external auditors, bank representatives and external consultants;
– Ensures agreed quality and deadlines for internal reporting regarding the trial balance
(first 6th or 7th working day of the month);
– Ensures quality and agreed deadlines for internal reporting on social contributions and
balance sheet;
– Ensures quality and deadlines agreed for external reporting regarding: tax declarations,
local taxes;
– Ensures quality and agreed deadlines for internal reporting on social contributions;
– Ensures quality and meet the deadlines for monthly, quarterly and semester statistics
for the National Institute of Statistics and the National Bank of Romania.
Summarizing, the challenge of this role involves having very effective communication,
organizational skills and economic background in order to function efficiently as part of our
team.

Who are we looking for?
• University education attained with economical/accounting specialization;
• At least 3-5 years of working experience in accounting field;
• Good knowledge of legislation related to accountancy as well as fiscal legislation;
• Good knowledge of accounting and financial processes;
• Strong communication skills;
• Pro-active, motivated, flexible and open minded;
• Knowledge of MS Office (Excel – advanced);
• Knowledge of SAGA program; SAP is a plus
• Strong command of English is mandatory;
• Strong advantage to have experience in a financial department of a trucking /
logistics company
