Packaging Engineer for Europe Region – CLOSED

Timisoara, Romania

For one of our clients in the automotive industry, we are looking for a Packaging Engineer for Europe Region to join their team in Timisoara, Romania.

Main responsibilities:

• Coordinator of the regional packaging planners and tasks; contact person for questions/ problems regarding packaging in their region
• Execution of regional packaging training, workshops & audits on a regular basis
• Support for development and implementation of standard packaging
• Definition, establishment and administration of packaging guidelines
• Reduction of packaging variety through standardization
• Definition of procedures to reduce packaging stocks and monitoring of selling/ recycling of unused packaging material
• Improvement of packaging concepts, workflows, packaging identification systems
• Development and identification of best practice packaging concepts
• Contact person for escalations of internal or external customer packaging complaints as well as notice of rework and additional costs and arrangement/ controlling of the respective countermeasures
• Adviser for internal organisational units and companies in technical decision-making question with regard to special packaging issues.

Your Qualifications:

• Final degree master of science (preferably packaging technology or logistics) or comparably long-term work experience in packaging planning
• Project management skills
• Good skills in English as well as in German language
• Good skills in MS-Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
• Expert knowledge and operative experience in logistics processes and packaging planning
• Very good SAP knowledge
• Availability for business traveling
