For our client, important player in the logistic and transport market, we are looking for a Chief Financial Officer that will guide the business in Romania

The main role is consisting of the following responsibilities: ensuring operation of all necessary procedures of financial control, to ensure that accurate and timely management information is available for monthly accounts and management decision taking; the monthly management accounts, annual budgets and annual statutory account and tax declaration including liaising with auditors and professional advisors; cash management and banking.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Formulate strategic and long-term business plans
  • Define and manage team structure for accounting, controlling, cash management, information systems, according to company’s objectives and needs
  • Produce annuals financial documentation according to legal constraints and regulation in force
  • Manage and coordinate the budgeting process, the controlling aspects through internal processes and information systems to secure the quality of the information and the correct booking of operations and transactions
  • Deploy this policy in compliance with local regulations and internal rules
  • Monitor and interpret cash flows and predicting future trends
  • Analyze the financial statements of the company, make periodical reports on financial status, liquidity and growth of the structure
  • Prepare the monthly financial report on financial performance against budget and forecast (Profit, Balance Sheet and Cash flow)
  • Analyze, consolidate and guarantee the application of accounting standards regarding cost management (stats, reporting)
  • Produce accurate financial reports to specific deadlines
  • Arrange new sources of finance for a company’s debt facilities
  • Manage a company’s financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems
  • Investigate the variances from budgeted/forecast performance and agreeing corrective actions with his superiors
  • Develop external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organizations
  • Partner with Operation leaders to strategically manage the client facilities’ portfolio, considering all business factors, financial analysis and modelling for optimum alternatives and business insight necessary for key decision-making related to site renewals, expansions, new locations, and all related services (e.g., building maintenance, janitorial, and food services).
  • Forecast Facility investments, operating and capital expenditures, closest to actuals, with continual monitoring and assessment of quarterly variance risks and opportunities.
  • Manage the monthly close process for Facilities, supporting Corporate Finance and Accounting for proper accounting treatment and thorough financial reporting and analysis.
  • Support overall Finance initiative related to building a business intelligence platform for worldwide operating and capital expenditures.

 

Requirements:

  • University degree in Finances.
  • Managerial experience as Chief Accountant, Financial Manager, Deputy / CFO in big multinational company — 5 years as minimum.
  • Good knowledge and practice in corporate reporting, IFRS/GAAP, financial reporting
  • Good English is a must.
  • Team player and good manager with high loyalty to the company, disciplined, with strong communicative skills, responsible and attentive will have a great advantage.
