Senior QA Engineer – CLOSED

Timisoara

For one of our clients in Timisoara, we are looking for a bright and energetic Senior QA Engineer.

The company is looking to automate lots of it’s testing processes and because of that they want to expand the existing testing team with you. You’ll be responsible for the quality of the software produced by their talented team of developers.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Design, development and execution of robust test strategies, scenarios, plans and automated tests within an Agile delivery methodology
  • Together with colleagues, participation in review  sessions to ensure requirements are well understood, are complete and deliver business value
  • Specification and preparation of test environment and data required to support test execution
  • Control the management of all test assets across the test lifecycle, including test plans, scripts and documentation
  • Participation in all stages of the Agile delivery methodology, as a direct contributor (testing) or indirect advisor (analysis and development)
  • Maintenance of automated tests and associated tools
  • Proactively identify solution, procedural and commercial improvement opportunities that provide tangible business benefit
  • Provision of advice and support to the Global Support team to ensure they can triage issues in a timely manner
  • Work with the Engineering Team Leads to schedule test releases and plan testing cycles

 

Your skills:

  • Be familiar with the software development process, and comfortable working within an agile environment
  • Have experience in formal testing techniques, and preferably, an ISEB Foundation in software testing
  • Be able to maintain enthusiasm of their team and promote a positive atmosphere, despite what is a somewhat ‘negative’ process (e.g., looking for or preventing problems)
  • Be able to promote cooperation between business analysts, software developers and test engineers
  • Be adaptable and keen to learn new testing tools and methodologies
  • Have knowledge of good practice around usability, maintainability and accessibility of technology systems
  • Have Excellent business communication skills, including being able to communicate with technical and non-technical people, engineers, managers, and customers
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work independently as well as in a highly collaborative, team-based environment
  • Have experience in Test Automation using tools such as Selenium and JMeter
  • Have  experience in coaching and mentoring junior team members
  • Be familiar with Behavior Driven Development principles and BDD languages such as Gherkin (desirable)
