Senior Test Engineer – CLOSED

For one of our clients in the IT industry, we are looking for a Senior Test Engineer to complete their team in Timisoara, Romania.

Mission/Purpose of Position

Validate the system functionality or functionality of software products, according to the specific requirements or specifications by defining, developing, adapting and/ or using manual or automated tests within a predefined project plan considering processes, procedures and testing quality standards.

Tasks:

• Testing 
  • Responsible for developing, reviewing and maintaining test specifications for functionalities of high complexity
  • Responsible for managing, performing tests and ensuring traceability according to given requirements and specifications
  • Responsible for technical analysis of critical problems  in his/ her area of expertise
  • Responsible for the automation (using internal tools or other programming languages) of manual tests
• Test Environment
  • Responsible for defining the test environment according to the project needs
  • Participates in development of the test environment
  • Responsible for providing input to Head of Test Team for planning the needed equipment
• Test Planning and Tracking
  • Responsible for effort estimations of test activities. Uses the existing project planning for tests schedule and track own activities
  • Develops and implements test strategies
• Test Reporting
  • Responsible for verifying  test results and creating reports
  • Responsible for giving feedback and inputs related to the test results to other stakeholders
  • May communicate test results/ methods to stakeholders
• Test Process
  • Responsible for the definition and improvement of processes in test area
  • Responsible for implementing new test technologies and contributes to test concepts
• Communication
  • Collaborates with other test specialists for defining, improving and synchronising test tools, technologies and strategies between test teams
  • Collaborates with the project team in order to complete own job efficiently
  • Responsible for performing presentations and delivering trainings on technical topics
  • Responsible for guiding the other team members in their technical area (e.g. mentorship, coaching)
